One of the biggest contributors to global warming is the food industry. But what lands how on our plates? Our food is often taken for granted and not questioned.
How much water is actually needed to produce a tomato? How much CO2 is emitted to produce one kilogram beef? The goal of this work is to create an interactive application for raising awareness of the resource consumption of the development of food products for schoolchildren.
The young generation will be longer and more intensively involved with the individual and social challenges caused by global climate change than any previous generation. They will be decision-makers in science and industry and in politics, and will play a decisive role in shaping future change. That is why it is so important to prepare for a future whose guiding principles are sustainability and solidarity.
